Solution

Telecom ESCO (TESCO)

TESCOs provide a valuable alternative to MNOs seeking to outsource their power generation needs in favor of a more energy-efficient solution, while retaining full ownership of their towers. At the core of our approach is network solarization, as we systematically integrate solar and hybrid power systems across our sites. In the regions where we operate, we believe solarization is a critical success factor for Telecom ESCO models, as it improves reliability, reduces fuel dependence, and lowers long-term operating costs.

Rural TESCO wB2S

Rural TESCO with Build-to-Suit combines the development of new rural telecom towers for operators with our TESCO power-as-a-service offering, supporting operators in executing and accelerating their network deployment plans. Designed for rural and underserved areas, the solution pairs tower infrastructure with solar-led power systems and integrated energy management to enable reliable connectivity in off-grid and weak-grid environments under a long-term infrastructure and energy delivery framework spanning 10–15 years.

Capital-Efficient Deployment Model

Operators avoid heavy capital investment for tower construction, while benefiting from zero upfront capital investment for power systems, with all power infrastructure fully financed and invested by CREI over the contract term.

Predictable, Recurring Costs

Long-term OPEX payments replace lumpy CAPEX, improving budget visibility and financial planning, while comprehensive energy management reduces exposure to fuel price volatility, grid tariffs, and operating cost uncertainty.

End-to-End Site Delivery and Operations

Full responsibility for site acquisition services including site selection, landowner negotiations, and all municipal and regulatory approvals ensuring availability, compliance, and long-term performance. Seamlessly integrated with TESCO power-as-a-service for a fully outsourced, end-to-end site solution.

Accelerated and Scalable Network Deployment

The Rural TESCO wB2S model accelerates rural network rollout and supports scalable expansion, enabling operators to add rural sites in line with evolving coverage and capacity requirements without upfront capital constraints.

Purpose-Built for Rural Deployments

Our solutions are tailored for rural environments, addressing both the technical challenges of site development, tower infrastructure, and off-grid or weak-grid operations, as well as the economic realities of low-ARPU deployments.

Expert-Led Delivery in Challenging Environments

Network sites are delivered by experienced Build-to-Suit specialists with proven capabilities in complex and remote environments, reducing construction, delivery, and technical risk for operators.

Solution

Standalone Solar Power Systems (SSPS)

Standalone Solar Power Systems provide off-grid solar energy solutions, developed in collaboration with Tier I operators, for households and small businesses in areas where grid access is limited or unreliable. The systems combine solar generation, energy storage, and power management into modular, right-sized solutions suited to everyday residential and small commercial needs.

Commercial Models

Deferred Payment Option: An upfront down payment of 15–30% is required, with the remaining system cost financed by CREI over a 2 to 4-year period. Asset ownership is retained during the payment term and transferred to the end user upon completion of payments, with ongoing after-sales support during the financing period.

Outright Purchase Option: Immediate ownership by the customer, with professional system design, installation, and commissioning included from day one, along with applicable product warranties and after-sales service support.

Affordable Energy Access

Flexible ownership and payment options expand access to clean, reliable power for households and small businesses, reducing dependence on unreliable grid supply and exposure to diesel fuel costs and price volatility.

After Sales Support

Customers benefit from after-sales support, including corrective maintenance, customer support, and component replacements, ensuring sustained system availability and performance under both deferred payment and outright purchase models.

End-to-End Delivery

CREI systems are delivered by teams with telecom infrastructure expertise, applying proven engineering standards. Systems are right-sized to user needs, with defined backup autonomy, and engineered for reliable operation in off-grid and weak-grid conditions.
